THE GLASTONBURY UNITY CANDLE
The Glastonbury Candle is a symbol of Unity, Peace, Harmony, Honour, Healing, Understanding and Acceptance.
Since 2010 it has been passed to community groups to light and bless in whatever way is appropriate for them. This might be an event, a ceremony, activity, meditation, meeting or simply holding the energy of it during a typical day in their ‘office’.
This 12 x 2 inch blue candle has been produced by Glastonbury Pilgrim Reception Centre in conjunction with Starchild and is infused with herbs, trees and flowers, including the Glastonbury Thorn, that have been gathered in and around Glastonbury. Glastonbury has a wonderful diversity and each part contributes to the Whole.

The Glastonbury reception Centre
feels that the Glastonbury Candle is an
excellent representation of the Whole
that is Glastonbury:- and also goes some
small way in helping to celebrate our
ethos of honouring all paths.
WHY BLUE? There is a deep spiritual significance to the colour blue and it represents faith, devotion, peace, inner knowledge, love, tranquillity and harmony. In many cultures and beliefs, blue is seen as a very sacred colour and so it has been chosen here to represent the sacred Isle of Avalon and Glastonbury.
