Glastonbury Town Council Somerset England. Green Party in The Isle of Avalon.
I'm Denise Michell
I have lived in Glastonbury since 1997 when I moved here from Bath.
In May 2011 I was elected to Glastonbury Town Council for St.Benedict Ward for The Green Party.
In May 2014, I was Elected Deputy Mayor of Glastonbury.
Then In 2015 I was re-Elected to Glastonbury Town Council and was elected by my fellow councillors to hold the Post of Mayor until the following year. What an honour!
Now it is 2019. I have been re-elected once more and on Tuesday 14th May I was honoured and inaugurated as Mayor of my wonderful Town once more !
Working within the community I listen closely to what people would like to see happen in our town now and in the future and believe myself to be a valuable member of Glastonbury Town Council helping to bring change for the benefit of everyone in our community.
These are challenging times for us all.
The Green Party have answers and are up for the challenge!
'There is a Tide in the affairs of men which taken at the flood leads on to fortune'.. (William Shakespeare)
This IS that Tide and we must ride on the ever rising Tsunami of discontent with our out-of- touch governments and become Surfers on the breaking waves!
The Dalai Lama , when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "MAN..
Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health and then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
He lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."
The first step to changing the current Government and getting a better deal for your family's future
IS YOU!
